Lily has been knitting prolifically for over 20 years. She started her knitting journey at home at age 7, when she could walk down her street to the yarn shop and be exposed to the jewel box of colors, textures, and types of yarn out there. Naturally some early 00's fluffy yarn was the best choice.
Next, she continued knitting in high school in Putney Vermont, home of the beloved Green Mountain Spinnery, a cooperatively run yarn mill. It was a blessing to discover their yarns early in life and they certainly upgraded her projects in her teen years, diving in to cables, colorwork, and knitting math!
More recently she has been learning knitting traditions of Norway and Sweden, including studying in-person in both countries and seeing the wool production from sheep to yarn. She has taught some of these techniques last year at North House Folk School in Minnesota, a folk school specializing in northern crafts from around the world.
Come enjoy a cozy atmosphere and do some knitting with a friendly, welcoming group!
